HL7 Soup Online Terms of Use
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These terms apply to the free hosted HL7 Soup Online browser editor available at hl7soup.integrationsoup.com. By using HL7 Soup Online, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the hosted online service.
Important: HL7 Soup Online is a free hosted browser tool for sample messages, demonstrations, training, support, and quick non-sensitive review. For patient-identifiable, production, confidential, regulated, or high-volume HL7 data, use self-hosted HL7 Soup Web or the installed HL7 Soup product so the data stays within your own environment and controls.
Free Hosted Service
HL7 Soup Online is provided free of charge. Integration Soup may change, suspend, limit, or withdraw the hosted service or any part of it at any time. We may also add, remove, or change features without notice.
We try to keep the service useful and reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Your Data and Responsibilities
You are responsible for the data you enter, paste, upload, create, edit, export, or rely on while using HL7 Soup Online. Do not use the hosted online service for real patient data, production data, confidential data, regulated data, or data that your organization has not approved for hosted browser use.
You are responsible for checking outputs, edited messages, validation results, anonymized samples, interface rules, statistics, and any other results before using them. HL7 messages can affect clinical and operational workflows, so do not rely on this hosted tool as the sole check for real-world decisions.
Not Medical, Clinical, Compliance, or Legal Advice
HL7 Soup Online is not a medical device, clinical decision support system, compliance service, legal service, or emergency system. It is a message review and editing tool. You are responsible for your own clinical, operational, privacy, security, regulatory, and legal decisions.
Local and Self-Hosted Use
For serious work, Integration Soup encourages you to use the installed HL7 Soup product or self-hosted HL7 Soup Web. Local and self-hosted use gives your organization control over hosting, security, access, backups, audit expectations, and data handling.
You can start from the HL7 Soup downloads page or contact Integration Soup support if you need guidance.
Acceptable Use
You must not misuse HL7 Soup Online. This includes attempting to disrupt the service, bypass security or access controls, upload malicious content, reverse engineer hosted systems beyond what applicable law allows, or use the service in a way that harms Integration Soup, other users, or third parties.
No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HL7 Soup Online is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties, guarantees, or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. This includes any implied warranties or guarantees of accuracy, availability, reliability, security, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, or that results will be complete or error-free.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify rights that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Integration Soup will not be liable for loss of data, loss of profit, loss of revenue, business interruption, clinical or operational consequences, security incidents, indirect loss, consequential loss, special loss, exemplary loss, or any other loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on HL7 Soup Online.
Because the hosted online service is provided free of charge, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Integration Soup's total liability for any claim relating to HL7 Soup Online is limited to the greater of the minimum amount required by law or the amount you paid Integration Soup specifically for use of the hosted online service in the 12 months before the claim.
Third-Party Links and Services
HL7 Soup Online may link to Integration Soup pages and third-party services. Those pages and services may have their own terms and privacy practices. Integration Soup is not responsible for third-party content or services.
Intellectual Property
HL7 Soup, HL7 Soup Online, Integration Soup branding, software, user interface, documentation, and related materials are owned by Integration Soup or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of any Integration Soup intellectual property to you.
Privacy
Use of HL7 Soup Online is also subject to the Integration Soup privacy policy. If your organization has privacy, security, data residency, or compliance requirements, use a local or self-hosted option unless your organization has approved hosted browser use.
Changes to These Terms
Integration Soup may update these terms from time to time. The updated terms will apply from the time they are posted, unless the page says otherwise. If you continue using HL7 Soup Online after a change, you accept the updated terms.
